What does An ultrasound of Kidneys, Ureter, Bladder & Prostate include?

Our urinary tract ultrasound services are available to patients above 18 years of age. When you are coming to your appointment time, please make sure you drink at least one litre of water before you come; this is because we will carry out the scan when you have a full bladder and an empty one. Please continue to take any normal medication as required before this scan.

This ultrasound scan will be done on an outpatient basis; once we have your test results, should there be anything of concern within your urinary tract, such as kidney stones, as well as the prostate. We may suggest a further test such as a visit to an x-ray machine at your local hospital. If any abnormalities are found during the scan, we recommend reporting your findings to your GP/Healthcare provider. We may suggest you speak to your doctor to share our findings and go for further treatment, pending what they suggest as well.
